Nominations are being received for business owners and employees in Washington state who have taken exceptional actions to sustain their business WHILE TAKING CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE ACTIONS FOR THEIR COMMUNITY in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Columbia Tower Club will host the new 20 OF 2020 Awards luncheon on Feb.11, 2021. However, a virtual Zoom event will be held on that date if COVID-19 restrictions prevent an actual gathering. The event will be conducted with the well-known Pat Cashman as the emcee.

The new awards are being spearheaded by Mike Flynn, who created a number of business awards during his tenure as publisher of the Puget Sound Business Journal. Sponsors are Katrina Eileen Real Estate, Columbia Tower Club, BizX and MarketingNW.com. MarketingNW, as the longtime bible of the marketing and advertising community in this region, will be producing a publication containing stories of the 20 honorees and a digital version.

Flynn said, “Unlike annual awards events, such as the 100 Fastest Growing Companies or 40 Under 40, we hope this recognition for dealing with the pandemic is a one-year event.”

Nominators whose nominee is chosen as one of the 20 honorees will receive a complimentary ticket to the event and get to introduce their nominee. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
