I was recently driving through an old downtown street and noticed that it really felt good just to be there. The store fronts were interesting, each shop suggested that it was as individual as the people who were inside. I felt an undercurrent of continuity and connection to the people who were here before I happened in on the scene. The sidewalks were wide, with only one row of parked cars between us, and seemed to invite me to take a few minutes to park and stroll. They piqued my curiosity to see what I might discover that I wouldn’t find anywhere else or who I might find that genuinely had an interest in being where they were, doing what they were doing and happy to see a customer walk through their door. Can you remember a single time when you have walked through the doors of a big store and felt an honest warmth in the “Hello!” that was called out, or a tone in the voice that said, “I’m very glad that you are here.” This is meaningful business. This is business that I want to support and ensure its longevity.
Fatigue, hastiness, and anxiety come to mind with the box-store, templated, “stack-it-deep, sell-it-cheap” approach to business today. Especially in the world of real estate.
What I have learned over 16 years in the real estate industry is that I want my work to be meaningful, my clients to be served, and investments to be profitable and efficient. What I have learned to this point in my life is that I have a driving desire to continually pursue my vision of excellence at whatever I do.
Our team has cultivated an awareness that Real Estate is a worthy pursuit when we take time. Time to discover what property owners are out to accomplish, and realize that their needs are as individual as they are. Isn’t it funny that a “whole new way” of looking at business is the way business used to be done?
If you think that selling your property may be in your future contact us, give me a call, write me an email, type me a text, send me a smoke signal…
What we will do is have a conversation and answer some questions:
What is it that you are trying to accomplish and where do you want to go? What strategies will serve you best? What are all of the puzzle pieces that are your wants and needs? What will be the ideal way to put your puzzle together?
Maybe its a retail sale. We will prepare your home as a beautifully marketed finished product, position it to be the next home to sell in your market place, and put it on the Multiple Listing Service.
Perhaps it is best to sell to an investor. If this is the case, we need to consider carefully the different ways to structure a sale and then decide which method should be employed to meet your needs first.
Finally, what you may hear from me is, “DON’T SELL YOU’R HOME!”. Is it simply best to stay where you are? Would a few modifications remind you of why you chose this home in the first place? Or make it liveable for your current needs and lifestyle? Is it possible to stay where you want, even when you may have thought you couldn’t?
